Rinus Van De Velde
And while I’m at it, here’s another very inspiring belgian artist, also at Tim Van Laere gallery, Rinus Van De Velde. He combines incredible large-scale charcoal drawings with rather poetic fiction, and he does it beautifully. See more work and the full texts on his site.
Kati Heck - new work
Kati Heck is without a doubt one of my favourite painters at the moment. When I was in Belgium last week, I went to see her new exhibition titled ‘Multikulti Sause’ at Tim Van Laere Gallery in Antwerp. It’s on till the 21st of this month, so if you get a chance, you should definitely see it.
